An Introduction to my Still Life Paintings
I am fascinated by the genre of still-life and in particular “trompe l’oeil”, an art technique that uses optical illusions to deceive the viewer’s eye. What I find most appealing is the complete freedom to design a world in which every element of the composition is under my control. And as I work, I imagine a narrative where the objects are characters on a stage and I’m the director.
