Portraits

With portraits, my tastes are traditional and my inspirations are classical. The poses I choose tend to be quiet and formal. When possible I work from life. I’ll use reference photos for detail but I never rely on them for shapes, values, colours, or edges. 

I also enjoy the challenge of creating self-portraits.  The model is dirt cheap and always available when I need him.
