An Introduction to my Landscape Paintings
My inspiration for landscapes has a number of sources: places I’ve travelled, places where I’ve lived (mostly in Ontario), and places my late father photographed on his own travels. But I also develop my own rough, plein air sketches into paintings once I return home.
Landscapes do not come easy to me but they do have a major advantage over portraits. A tree will never complain about a trunk that looks too fat.
